摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device which has excellent light utilization efficiency and which can be easily manufactured, a manufacturing method for the liquid crystal device, and a projector. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device comprises: a pair of substrates disposed to face each other and having a plurality of pixel regions; a liquid crystal layer held between the pair of substrates; a switching element provided corresponding to each of the plurality of pixel regions on a first substrate of the pair of substrates; a plurality of first light refraction parts provided for the liquid crystal layer side as compared with the switching element on the first substrate of the pair of substrates and provided for each of the pixel regions; and a plurality of second light refraction parts provided for a second substrate of the pair of substrates, which is different from the first substrate, and provided for each of the pixel regions.
