<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate influence on a user caused by an electric wave radiated from the back face side of a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information terminal according to an embodiment comprises: a housing having a display unit disposed on a surface part of the housing; an antenna unit disposed from a side face part to a back face part of the housing; a first sensor for detecting posture of the housing; and a controller. The controller suppresses transmission power of the antenna unit when it is determined, on the basis of a detection result of the first sensor, that the posture of the housing is in a horizontal state or in a state close to the horizontal state at an angle within a predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
