<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide device for improving usability of an auxiliary lock mechanism, even in the slide device of a vehicle seat having the auxiliary lock mechanism for regulating once a further slide of the vehicle seat having reached a boundary of both lock areas, when sliding the vehicle seat so as to straddle both lock areas. <P>SOLUTION: In the auxiliary lock mechanism 5 of the slide device 2 of the vehicle seat, one end part of a stopper link 50 is held in a height position of contacting with a stopper plate 16 by bringing link bars 30, 40 into contact with an abutting part 22a of a slide lock claw 22 when an upper rail 20 of the first vehicle seat 1 slid by releasing a lock of a lock mechanism 4 by operating a handle reaches the boundary of both lock areas.
