SULFUR-CONTAINING &pgr;-CONJUGATED COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur-containing π-conjugated compound useful as a conducting material, an organic EL material, a high refractive index material, or the like; and to provide a method for producing the same.

SOLUTION: The sulfur-containing π-conjugated compound is represented by formula (1) (wherein R1and R2are the same or different and a hydrogen atom or lower alkyl; n is an integer of 1-100; Q is a benzene ring or thiophene ring; the benzene ring and the thiophene ring may be substituted with one or two lower alkyls). The method for producing the same is provided.
