PURPOSE: An auto-directional oceanographic observation device is provided to prevent the abnormal transmission of oceanographic data beforehand because the oceanographic observation device can be automatically rotated by an indicating member in a rotator toward a base station direction originally set. CONSTITUTION: An auto-directional oceanographic observation device comprises a mooring float body(10), a rotator(20), a transmitting unit(30), and an indicating member(40). The mooring float body is floated on the water and is rotated by waves. The rotator is installed in the mooring float body to be freely rotated. The transmitting unit is installed at the top of the rotator and transmits data to a base station on the ground. The indicating member is embedded in the rotator and rotates the rotator so that an indicating direction of the transmitting unit can automatically head to the base station.
