PURPOSE: A coating composition for a fuel tank steel sheet is provided to have excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion even by a one-time coating, without containing chrome components. CONSTITUTION: A coating composition for a fuel tank steel sheet comprises a water-soluble olefin-based acrylic resin, silica, metal compound, crosslinking agent, silane, and solvent. The content of solid phase is 3.7-17.5 wt%. The water-soluble olefin-based resin has an average molecular weight number of 17,000-70,000 and a pH of 8-10. The water-soluble olefin-based resin is obtained from an acrylic acid and ethylene. The fuel tank steel sheet comprises a base steel sheet(110); and a coating film(120) formed on the base steel sheet. The coating is formed of the coating composition.
