INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND IMAGE TRANSMISSION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for compression processing.

SOLUTION: A server device 10 draws processing results of software to an image memory which stores a display image to be displayed on a client terminal 20. The server device 10 detects an update area which is updated between frames of the images. The server device 10 switches a selection of first generation processing and second generation processing to execute it, in accordance with the number in which the updated area is detected. In the first generation processing, a color map is generated for each updated area on the basis of the color used in the image of the updated area. In the second generation processing, a color map used in common to updated areas is generated on the basis of the color used in the respective images in the updated areas. The server device 10 decreases the number of colors in the updated area using the generated color map and transmits the compressed image in the updated area to the client terminal 20.
