<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent optical images of an erect equal magnification lens array unit from being lost. <P>SOLUTION: An erect equal magnification lens array unit 13 has a first lens array 17, a second lens array 18 and a shading part 19. The first lens array 17 has a plurality of first lenses 20. In the first lens array 17, the plurality of first lenses are arranged in a first direction. The first direction is perpendicular to the optical axes of the first lenses 20. The second lens array 18 has a plurality of second lenses. The optical axes of the second lenses are superposed over the optical axes of the first lenses. In the second lens array 18, the plurality of second lenses are arranged in the first direction. In the shading part 19, an opening is formed between the first lenses 20 and the second lenses 21. The first lenses 20, the opening and the second lenses 21 whose optical axes overlap one another constitute an optical system.
