<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mechanism related to starting of a monitoring service when installing an image forming device in a customer system in consideration of the service cost. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: request means for transmitting a registration confirmation request including identification information of the image forming device to an administrative server in response to a user operation for starting the monitoring service by the administrative server after installing the image forming device in the customer system; analysis means for analyzing a response from the administrative server to the registration confirmation request; and storage means for storing a retry period including the response when the analysis result of the response shows unregistration. The request means performs retransmission of the registration confirmation request until receiving a response showing the completion of the registration from the administrative server in the stored retry period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
