<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery capable of preventing metallic foreign matters into the sealed battery due to press-fitting of a lid body into an aperture of a case without cost increase of an outer package, and to provide a method of manufacturing the sealed battery. <P>SOLUTION: A sealed battery includes an outer package 1 constituted of a case 2 opened at one surface and formed in a bottomed rectangular tube shape and a lid body 3 closing an aperture 2a of the case 2. A step portion 22 is formed in an inner circumferential surface of a peripheral edge 21 of the aperture 2a of the case 2. The aperture 2a of the case 2 includes a recess 23 formed by notching the peripheral edge on at least one side among a short side and long sides 2b, 2c of the case 2 until the recess 23 has a depth to continue to the step portion 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
