<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device configured to prevent stain on a drive-side puller from being transferred to a recording medium when the puller is used to stretch the continuous long recording medium before printing, in order to eliminate the slack thereof, resulting in improvement in printing quality. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a pre-heater 13, a heating roller 14, a pressure roller 15, a drive-side puller 16a, and a driven-side puller 16b. The puller 16 stretches a sheet to eliminate the slack of a continuous sheet 7 between the pre-heater 13 and the puller 16, before printing. During printing, the continuous sheet 7 nipped by the drive-side puller 16a and the driven-side puller 16b is conveyed. Means 37, 40, 41, 43 are provided for preventing the drive-side puller 16a from slipping on the continuous sheet 7 before printing and after sheet stretching. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
