On switching on the press, one or several press jaws displace from initial position into working position unless preset pressing force is reached or preset time lapses. Thereafter, said press jaws automatically open. Press jaws opening can be interrupted before reaching of initial position at intermediate position to start the nest pressing cycle from said intermediate position.
