<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which suppresses occurrence of paper jamming even if a recording paper is set in any direction and can record an image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image recording device which includes a paper feeding part 50 for feeding a paper as a recording medium, a record part 72 for recording an image on the recording medium, a first conveying part 66 for conveying the recording medium to the record part, and a controller 90 for controlling the operations of the first conveying part, the controller has a conveying direction detection part 120 for detecting a direction of the recording medium to be conveyed and a conveying speed change part 126 for changing a conveying speed of the recording medium by the first conveying part in accordance with the direction of the recording medium detected by the conveying direction detection part. Thereby, if the recording medium is conveyed in an attitude in which it is considered that the occurrence probability of paper jamming is high, for example, a conveying speed of the recording medium can be made slower than a usual speed, and if the recording medium is set in any direction, it is possible to suppress occurrence of paper jamming so as to record an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
