<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve a technology for determining whether a plant has suffered from disease and insect damage by a known image discrimination technology. <P>SOLUTION: A method and a system for discriminating plant diseases and a recording medium are provided. The method includes processes for: providing a plant disease state database for storing the names of plant diseases and image information on the states of diseases corresponding to the names of the plant diseases; acquiring cultivated plant image information through an imaging apparatus, then acquiring plant image information by a first color tone processing technology through an image processing unit; acquiring image information on a region where a disease is suspected by a second color tone processing technology; calculating an image information area of the disease suspected region; when the area is greater than a preset region area, setting the image information on the region where the disease is suspected as image information on a region characteristic of the disease, and comparing the image information on the region characteristic of the disease with the image information on the disease state; and when the image information on the region characteristic of the disease coincides with any specific disease characteristic image information, acquiring the corresponding specific plant disease name. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
