<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate influence on a user caused by an electric wave radiated from the back face side of a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information terminal according to an embodiment comprises: a housing; a display disposed on a surface part of the housing; a sheet which is disposed on a screen of the display and is for detecting touch operation; an antenna unit arranged integrally with the housing in the housing; a first sensor for detecting spatial posture of the housing; and a controller. The controller suppresses transmission power of the antenna unit, when the spatial posture of the housing detected by the first sensor is in a horizontal state or in a state close to the horizontal state at a slope angle within a predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
