<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device capable of simultaneously processing a suppression request and a NOx reduction request before preignition occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A rich spike is started at a fuel injection timing (time point t<SB POS="POST">3</SB>) in an engine cycle right after preignition is detected as shown in Fig.3. An NOx counter is lower than a threshold at the time point t<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, and is not the timing of starting the rich spike for an NOx catalyst 28 (t<SB POS="POST">1</SB>in Fig.2). The rich spike is performed, however, NOx is released from the NOx catalyst 28 so that the NOx counter is decreased. Accordingly, the rich spike can simultaneously achieve the suppression of continuous occurrence of preignition and the recovery of occlusion capacity of the NOx catalyst 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
