PURPOSE: A railway continuous monitoring system and a method thereof using an optical fiber Brillouin scattering sensor are provided to prevent derailment of a train by detecting deformation of a railway occurred in an arbitrary location of a monitoring target section. CONSTITUTION: A rail monitoring unit(100) includes a Brillouin scattering measurement logger(110) and a first remote communication device(120). The Brillouin scattering measurement logger calculates temperature and deformation information of a railway(1) from a Brillouin frequency. The first remote communication device transmits the temperature and deformation information of the railway to an information analysis unit(200). The information analysis unit includes a second remote communication device(210) and a remote monitoring computer(220). The remote monitoring computer analyzes the temperature and deformation information received from the first remote communication device. |
