<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a use band desired by a user when data is transmitted through a network such as an NGN, of which use charge is different on the basis of a use band. <P>SOLUTION: In the transmission of an image through an NGN 108, an image communication device 101 calculates a communication time required for data transmission by each use band of the NGN.
