<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of the movement amount calculation of a probe. <P>SOLUTION: An A array transducer is a one-dimensional transducer corresponding to a conventional array transducer. A B array transducer and a C array transducer are connected to both ends (both left and right ends in Figure) on the side of a short side of the A array transducer such that the arrangement direction of respective transducers of the A array transducer and the arrangement direction of respective transducers of the B array transducer and the C array transducer are orthogonal to each other.
