PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adsorbing and collecting rhenium ions in a dilute aqueous solution.

SOLUTION: There are provided a method for collecting rhenium ions from an aqueous solution containing rhenium ions and a method for producing a rhenium ion containing precipitation, both including a process of adsorbing rhenium ions to bacterial cells of iron reducing bacteria by contacting the iron reducing bacteria with the aqueous solution containing rhenium ions, and a process of collecting the rhenium ions adsorbed to the bacterial cells together with the bacterial cells, and further provided a rhenium ion adsorbent containing iron reducing bacteria.
