METHOD FOR DETECTION OF FREE RADICALS

摘要

A method for the detection of free radicals through fluorescent determination of intensity of induced peroxide oxidation of lipids in tissue extractions and suspensions of membranes. Squaraine dye SQ-1 is used as indicator of presence of free-radical reactions, and the detection of free radicals is carried out by comparison of kinetic profiles of suppression of fluorescence of dye at absence and presence of pro-oxidants.
