<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability when setting a slice position because using point group data representing the shape of the surface of a prescribed region. <P>SOLUTION: This slice position setting device prepares point group data PG<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>representing the reference shape of the surface of the head of the human body in advance, and associates position information of slice positions SL<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-SL<SB POS="POST">n</SB>with the point group data PG<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>. The slice position setting device acquires localizer image data of a subject 13, and creates the point group data PG<SB POS="POST">a</SB>representing the shape of the surface of the head of the subject 13. Next, the slice position setting device collates the point group data PG<SB POS="POST">a</SB>of the surface of the head detected from the localizer image data and the point group data PG<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>wherein the position information of the slice positions SL<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-SL<SB POS="POST">n</SB>is associated, and aligns the point group data PG<SB POS="POST">a</SB>and PG<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
