<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a battery stopper that prevents a second lock member from being unmounted and also prevents the second lock member from being removed owing to vibration, a shock, etc.; and a battery fork lift with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The battery stopper includes a battery cover 10, a first lock member 20, and a second lock member 30. The battery cover has an engaging part 11 at one end. The first lock member has an engaged part 21 capable of engaging the engaging part, and a lever part 22 operated to engage and disengage the engaging part and engaged part. The second lock member has a first side part 31 capable of engaging the engaging part together with the engaged part, a second side part 32 guiding the first side part to an engagement position or disengagement position, and a contact part 33. When the second lock member is at the engagement position, the contact part does not contact the lever part and the engaging part and engaged part can engage each other.
