<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress that an original document image is classified into a wrong original document category by influences of an end side image of an original document. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading device 1 has: a data acquisition part acquiring data on a readout image including an end side image of an original document M; and a controller. The controller is configured to execute: a block division process of dividing a target range in the readout image into a plurality of blocks; a block classification process of classifying each of the plurality of blocks into any one of a plurality of block categories; and an original document classification process of classifying an original document image into any one of a plurality of original document categories. The target range does not include at least one end side image of the document image. The block has such a shape that a length in a direction parallel to the one end side image of the original document image is longer than that in a direction orthogonal to the one end side image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
