IMAGE TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND IMAGE TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus capable of transmitting larger-sized image (also called video image, and the same hereinafter) data while more faithfully maintaining the image data.

SOLUTION: The image transmission apparatus for transmitting image data comprises a compression unit for compressing the image data to generate compressed image data and compression code information on the compression; and a data transfer unit for outputting the compressed image data and the compression code information. The redundancy of the compression code information is higher than that of the compressed image data.
