<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery which has an excellent cycle characteristic and a high reliability, and which is arranged so that the rise in the internal resistance of the battery is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode 1; a negative electrode 2; a separator 3 disposed between the positive and negative electrodes 1 and 2; and a nonaqueous electrolyte 15. The negative electrode 2 includes lithium titanate particles each having, on its surface, a fluoride layer including lithium fluoride. With single-crystal spectroscopic Al-Kα ray used as an excitation X-ray source, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra of the negative electrode 2 satisfy the following inequality (1) in a half-charged condition: 6<(I<SB POS="POST">F</SB>/I<SB POS="POST">C</SB>)≤21 (1). (In the inequality, I<SB POS="POST">F</SB>is the maximum intensity of peaks arising in a range of 680-687 eV; and I<SB POS="POST">C</SB>is the maximum intensity of peaks arising in a range of 280-290 eV.) <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
