<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve throughput of color measurement with respect to carriage movement in a recording apparatus which is so constructed that a pressing plate for pressing a recording medium is separated for relatively moving the carriage equipped with a color measurement sensor by conveyance of the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: After color measurement scanning by a color measurement CR (carriage) 21 and while a color measurement unit 24 is separated from the recording medium, the color measurement CR 21 is moved from its position after scanning to a standby position of a closer end (2) of a patch line which is the subject of the next scanning. After that, the color measurement CR 21 is repeatedly moved from the color measurement scanning position to the standby position of the closer end in the same way. In this manner, the standby position is changed from (1) to (3) in sequence during separation of the pressing plate and pressing and the distance of movement for standby of the color measurement CR 21 between patch lines can be minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
