<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed mechanism of a printing machine which has a plurality of paper feed paths, can form a same deflection to a paper sheet regardless of the paper feed path through which the paper sheet is conveyed, and therefore can accurately correct the inclination of the paper sheet conveyed through each paper feed path. <P>SOLUTION: In this paper feed mechanism of a printing machine, the inclination of a paper sheet is corrected by abutting the paper sheet conveyed through the paper feed path against a pair of resister rollers 15, 15 for deflecting the paper sheet. The auxiliary paper feed path 45 converges with the main paper feed path 14 on the upstream side of the pair of resister rollers in the conveying direction. A deflection space portion 8 for storing the deflected portion of the paper sheet is formed in a paper feed path portion 140 between the converged portion 100 and the pair of resister rollers. Both paper feed paths 14, 45 are curvedly disposed so as to inflate upward toward the pair of resister rollers.
