<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which suppresses production of powdered cut chips even if different types of recoding media are used. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording device includes a transfer means 3 which transfers a rolled recoding medium 21, a cutting means 10 which cuts the recording medium 21 while moving in a direction crossing a transfer direction A of the recording medium 21, a measuring means 40 which measures the amount of powdered cut chips produced out of the recording medium 21 when the recording medium 21 is cut by the cutting means 10, and a control means 50 which controls the moving speed of the cutting means 10 according to a result of measurement of the amount of powdered cut chips by the measuring means 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
