PURPOSE: A misalignment inspection system between a display panel and a film pattern retarder and a method thereof are provided to automatically measure a misalignment between the film pattern retarder and the display panel by photographing and analyzing images on both edges of the inspected panel and pixel array center images of the inspected panel. CONSTITUTION: A misalignment inspection system between a display panel and a film pattern retarder includes an inspection target panel, a misalignment inspection device and a controller(CTRL). The inspection target panel includes a display panel(PNL) attached to a film pattern retarder(FPR). The misalignment inspection device photographs images on both edges of the inspection target panel, or photographs pixel array center images of the inspection target panel. The controller analyzes the images received from the misalignment inspection apparatus, and measures the misalignment between the film pattern retarder and the display panel.
