EFFECTIVE SYNTHESIS OF NATURAL PRODUCT OBOVATEN

摘要

PURPOSE: A novel synthesis method of obovaten is provided to simultaneously perform 3-stage reaction such as cyclization, iodations, and dimethylation. CONSTITUTION: Obovaten of chemical formula 9 is synthesized from vanillin of chemical formula 1 as a starting material. Iodobenzofuran of chemical formula 6 is generated as an intermediate compound through iodine induced cyclization. The method comprises cyclization, iodations, and dimethylation in a flask.
