PURPOSE: A device for measuring errors of a 3D image and a method thereof are provided to objectively evaluate quality for the errors, thereby measuring quality of the 3D image. CONSTITUTION: An image analysis unit(110) analyzes a 2D image. A depth information generation unit(120) generates depth information per frame for the 2D image. A parallax information generation unit(130) generates parallax information by using the generated depth information. A 3D image generation unit(140) generates a 3D image by using the parallax information. An error detection unit(150) detects an error processing a background as an object or an error processing the object as the background by using the generated depth information or information excluding the depth information.
