PURPOSE: A software test device and a method thereof are provided to precisely and quickly test a software operation based on a GUI(Graphic User Interface), a specific module of the software, and an interface operation as modules are integrated. CONSTITUTION: A first test unit(110) generates a first test script by capturing the input performed to test the target software and tests the software by playing the first test script. A second test unit(120) tests the software based on the event information of a second test script written by a user. A hybrid test unit(190) tests the software based on a hybrid test script made by mixing the first and the second scripts. A test control unit(130) executes the first, the second, or the hybrid test unit according to the test setting values of performing the test.
