A TITANIUM DIOXIDE AND THE METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TITANIUM DIOXIDE

PURPOSE: A titanium dioxide photocatalyst and a production method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of the photocatalyst by enlarging the size of titanium dioxide photocatalytic films in nanostructure, and to have a simple structure as an extra electrode system is not needed. CONSTITUTION: A titanium dioxide photocatalyst contains a supporting body film which is combined with FTO on FTO glass, and a titanium dioxide photocatalytic layer which is equipped on the supporting body film. The production method of the titanium dioxide photocatalyst includes the following steps; a step which applies titanium dioxide paste on a supporting body composed of the FTO glass and the FTO; and a step which forms the titanium dioxide photocatalytic layer by forming titanium dioxide nano-sized gas pockets by heat-treatment. The titanium dioxide photocatalyst layer is composed of a photocatalytic film type in which multiple nano titanium dioxide tubes are formed in one direction ranging from up to down, or a mesh sponge foam type in which the nano-sized gas pockets are formed without certain direction.
