PURPOSE: A high-strength wire rod with excellent fatigue strength and a method thereof are provided to suppress the decomposition of cementite by omitting Mn when manufacturing wire rods with high heat by friction between a material and a dies, and to improve material life expectancy and stability. CONSTITUTION: A high-strength wire rod with excellent fatigue strength comprises, in wt %: C 0.90-1.0, Si 0.7-1.5, Cr 0.1-0.5, the remainder Fe, and other unavoidable impurities. A micro-structure includes pearlite. The inter-layer space of pearlite is less than 115nm. The tensile strength of a wire rod is 1370MPa or greater. The wire rod has less than 20nm of pearlite inter-layer space when a wire drawing is done at the drawing amount(ε) of 3.0-3.6. The wire rod has 15 atomic percentage or greater of carbon content existed within the cementite area of pearlite on the t / 4 position(provided, t is the diameter of a wire rod) when a wire drawing is done at the drawing amount of 3.0-3.6.
