PURPOSE: A fuel and raw material transferring apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to prevent the separation of a belt by maintaining the tension of the belt over a set value while transferring fuel and raw materials. CONSTITUTION: A fuel and raw material transferring apparatus comprises a tension roller(30), a tension maintaining part(80), a detecting part(50), a driving part(70), and a control part. A belt(10) wound on multiple transfer rollers to transfer fuel and raw materials is wound on the tension roller to protrude the belt in one direction. The tension maintaining part pulls the tension roller to provide tension to the belt. The detecting part detects the inclination of the belt wound on the tension roller. The driving part moves the belt to the center of the tension roller. The control part determines the swerving of the belt according to the position signal of the belt received from the detecting part and transmits an operation signal to the driving part.
