The device (150a-150d) has electrically conducting elements (152a, 152b) i.e. metal fingers, formed of single piece of material that is capable of electrically connecting first electrical contacts (110, 112) that partially cover doped semiconductor regions of a photovoltaic cell (102a), with second electrical contacts that partially cover doped semiconductor regions of another photovoltaic cell (102b). An electrically insulating portion is arranged on and/or in the electrically conducting element to insulate the electrically conducting elements from the electrical contacts. The semiconductor doped regions of the photovoltaic cells are formed in form of fingers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for realizing a device for electrically interconnecting photovoltaic cells with each other (2) a method for interconnecting photovoltaic cells with each other (3) a method for realizing a photovoltaic module.
