PURPOSE: An optimal controlling method of a geothermal pump system is provided to change flow rates of ground circulating water which circulates in a ground heat exchanger according to the change of load capacity and to prevent degradation of heat delivery efficiency by selecting bore holes according to flow rates of ground circulating water. CONSTITUTION: An optimal controlling method of a geothermal pump system comprises the following steps: allocating higher weight for smaller surfaces which face a plurality of bore holes(510) which constitute a bore hole assembly(500); determining total flow rate of ground circulating water which circulates a geothermal exchanger based on the change of load capacity; determining the number of bore holes in which the ground circulating water is passed according to the determined total flow rate of the ground circulating water; and selecting bore holes in which the ground circulating water is supplied by matching the number of bore holes and circulating the ground circulating water by selecting bore holes by orders in which higher value of weight is allocated.
