PURPOSE: A metadata based identity analysis device for communication between the nodes in a network including a heterogeneous identification system and a method thereof are provided to support two-way communication by obtaining network information, a network identifier, and an application layer of an opponent. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit(210) receives an application layer ID(Identity) of an opponent node from a transmitter node. A processor(220) converts the network information of the opponent node into metadata corresponding to the application layer ID. The processor transmits the converted metadata to the transmitter node. The processor includes an update unit. The update unit updates the metadata corresponding to the network information by searching for the opponent node.
