PURPOSE: A thermal spray coating roller is provided to reduce the weight of the roller because a roll base is formed of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic material. CONSTITUTION: A thermal spray coating roller comprises a roll member(10), flanges(20), a metal base layer(30), and a coating layer(40). The roll base is formed of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic material. The flanges are formed of a metal material; are arranged on both sides of the roll member; and are connected to a power source which provides rotary power. A base member(31) formed of a metal wire material is wound on the surface of the roll member to form the metal base layer. The coating layer is formed on the top of the metal base layer and is formed by thermal spray coating. An upwardly inclined surface is formed on the outer circumference of each flange. The coating layer covers both the metal base layer and the inclined surface. |
