PURPOSE: A fan heater with a function to sense an obstacle is provided to generate guide sound informing the approach of the obstacle according to the distance between the fan heater and the obstacle. CONSTITUTION: A fan heater(10) with a function to sense an obstacle comprises a distance sensor(40), a guide device(33), and a control device. The distance sensor is mounted on the fan heater and senses the distance of the obstacle. The guide device generates guide sound. The control device delivers a signal for generating the guide sound to the guide device according to the distance between the fan heater and the obstacle. The control device controls the power and the intensity of the fan heater. The control device divides the section belonging to the distance of sensing into four sections.
