PURPOSE: A distance measuring device and a system are provided to increase resolution capable of expressing a distance twice by detecting a distance value with a digital level of 0.5 unit and whole numbers, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the distance. CONSTITUTION: A distance measuring device comprises a brightness detecting unit(110) and a distance detecting unit(120). The brightness detecting unit detects brightness values of each pixel of an image having a plurality of the pixels. The distance detecting unit multiplies a weight coefficient of a mask and the brightness value of a specific pixel of the image and the brightness value of the ambient pixels of the specific pixel which are detected by the brightness detecting unit, thereby extracting mask multiplication values. The distance detecting unit defines the sump of the extracted multiplication values as a digital level of the specific pixel and detects a distance with respect to the digital level of the specific pixel.
