PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING ARTHRITIS COMPRISING EUPHORBIA EBRACTEOLATA EXTRACTS

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing ingenol-3-palmitate or ingenol-3-myristinate with an anti-inflammatory effect is provided to prevent degenerative diseases such as gastritis, colitis, hepatitis, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, and cancer. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating arthritis contains ingenol-3-palminate and ingenol-3-myristinate isolated from Euphorbia ebracteolata. Ingenol-3-palminate and ingenol-3-myristinate is a compound of chemical formula 1. A method for preparing ingenol-3-palminate and ingenol-3-myristinate comprises: a step of adding 5-20L of water or alcohol per 1kg of dried Euphorbia ebracteolata roots and incubating at 20-50 deg. C for 0.5-2 days; a step of filtering and evaporating by reduced pressure to obtain an alcohol extract; a step of adding water and methanol mixed in a ratio of 1:1 to the alcohol extract and adding hexane to extract an organic material; and a step of fractioning and extracting the organic material by chromatography.
