PURPOSE: A composition for detecting or quantitating Sp2/0 cell DNA is provided to specifically detect only Sp2/0 cell DNA and to effectively detect and quantitate Sp2/0 cell DNA contained in a cell culture or purified material thereof. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for detecting Sp2/0 cell DNA contains base sequences of sequence numbers 1 and 2. A composition for detecting or quantitating Sp2/0 cell DNA contains the primer set and a probe of sequence number 3. A method for detecting or quantitating Sp2/0 cell DNA comprises: a step of isolating DNA from a sample; a step of performing PCR using the primer set and the probe; and a step of measuring fluorescent signal.
