<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "segmented-in-series" fuel cell structure that has a support substrate with resistance to deformation when subjected to external force. <P>SOLUTION: A flat substrate 10 has fuel gas channels 11 formed therein, and has a longitudinal direction. On a main surface of the flat substrate 10, a plurality of power generating element sections A that are electrically connected in series are arranged at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction. On the main surface of the flat substrate 10, a plurality of depressions 12 are formed at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction. Each of the depressions 12 is a cuboid recess defined by four side walls that are circumferentially closed, and a bottom wall. In each depression 12, a fuel electrode 20 of the corresponding power generating element section A is buried. In a surface of the bottom wall of each depression 12, projections and depressions formed of "a plurality of projections and a plurality of depressions" extending in the longitudinal direction are provided in such a manner that the projections and the depressions are positioned alternately in a width direction and that the corresponding depressions are positioned above the respective fuel gas channels 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
