<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger pump capable of improving stability of a coil spring to be expanded and contracted in a pump chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The plunger pump 1 comprises a pump body 100 having a cylinder hole 10 with a diameter reducing portion 12 formed, a spherical lid member 20 press-fit in the expanded diameter portion 11, a plunger 40 contacted with an eccentric cam 140 (driving member) for sectioning a pump chamber 30 with respect to the lid member 20, a seal member 40c fit externally on the plunger 40, and a coil spring 50 disposed in the expanded diameter portion 11. The coil spring 50 comprises an effective winding part 51, a lid side seat winding part 52, and a plunger side seat winding part 53. The outer diameter of the lid side seat winding part 52 is formed larger than the outer diameter of the effective winding part 51 and the same as or smaller than the inner diameter of the expanded diameter portion 11.
