Disclosed is an indirect lighting apparatus. The indirect lighting apparatus comprises: a semiconductor light emitting element; a reflector; and a wavelength conversion layer located on a surface of the reflector. The wavelength conversion layer contains a phosphor which is excited by the light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element and emits the converted light. The reflector reflects the light received from the wavelength conversion layer to the wavelength conversion layer. Accordingly, the present invention can protect the human body from light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element.
