Disclosed is a method for improving the power amplification efficiency of a Doherty power amplifier. The method is applied in a Doherty power amplifier which has two paths of Doherty circuit units connected in parallel. Each Doherty circuit unit includes a main power amplifier and a peak power amplifier. The main power amplifier and the peak power amplifier are connected in parallel. The method for improving the power amplification efficiency of a Doherty power amplifier includes: when the output power of a Doherty power amplifier is within a low power output interval, regulating the gate voltages of a main power amplifier and a peak power amplifier in two paths of Doherty circuit units connected in parallel through a bias circuit, so that the peak power amplifier is in an off state, and the main power amplifiers in the two paths of Doherty circuit units connected in parallel are respectively in a main power amplification state and a peak power amplification state. Also disclosed is a Doherty power amplifier and a device for improving power amplification efficiency of a Doherty power amplifier. The present solution effectively realizes the purpose of saving energy and reducing consumption.
