The spring system (1) has a spring force transmitting sections (11,12), which are fastened to the stationary wall area or to the flap (2) in a hinged manner. The spring force transmitting section is hinged to a lifting arm (7) of the flap. A pressure spring element is arranged between the spring force transmitting sections such that the distance of the hinged points of the spring force transmitting sections is reduced at the flap on one hand and at the wall area on the other hand while opening the flap and is increased while closing the flap.
