<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce constraint of molding conditions in a case of heating an optical element material fluidized in a gas and feeding the heated optical element material to a molding die, in the method and apparatus for manufacturing an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing an optical element includes: a heating step of heating an optical element material 200 in a fluidized state in a gas; a feeding step of feeding the heated optical element material 200 in a non-contact state to an inter-die space S which is a space between a first molding die (movable die 21) and a second molding die (fixed die 31), from a direction (trajectory T) intersecting a center axis A connecting the center of the first molding die (movable die 21) and the center of the second molding die (fixed die 31); a pressurizing step of pressurizing the optical element material 200 fed to the inter-die space S with the first molding die (movable die 21) and the second molding die (fixed die 31); and a cooling step of cooling the pressurized optical element material 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
